In 1901, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, along with his wife Margaret McDonald Mackintosh entered a competition to design a Haus eines Kunstfreundes (House for an Art Lover) run by German magazine Zeitschrift für Innendekoration. His entry, while impressing the judges and public alike, was disqualified on a technicality, (although it was awarded a special prize for its ‘pronounced personal quality, novel and austere form and the uniform configuration of interior and exterior’) and he never saw the house realised in his lifetime. Another office

A Corporate Finance company had their office in St Paul’s refurbished, and so one Saturday afternoon, when the office was empty, I went along to photograph their newly refurbished space inside and, from their top floor balcony, out. Guild Qualified
I recently submitted a portfolio of images to the Guild of Photographers for adjudication with the aim of receiving an official qualification from the Guild. My submission was successful, and as the work I submitted was commercial, rather than weddings or portraits, I’m putting my brief and the chosen images here to help anyone else looking to select images for a Guild professional qualification (QGPP). Fast and French
Cojean are a French food chain who focus on healthy, fast takeaway (or eat in) food and clean, minimal decor. Their first London store in Ludgate Hill opened recently and I was asked to go along and get some photographs that showed off the interior design as well as its London location.
