Sheffield-based music magazine Counterfeit Mag has recently been relaunched with a new look, and one of their latest featured articles uses my photography of The Ruby Kid, a rapper originally from Sheffield but now based in London.

TBC
I’d like to bring your attention to a new project started by my friend Gareth Bourne and me. TBC is a new website, with associated Twitter and Facebook accounts, which is intended to be for photographers of all levels who are interested in how photography is changing in the digital era, and how the technology behind photography allied with the rise of social media is making it so much more of a mainstream activity. We will be writing regular articles, and featuring new and interesting links on a near-daily basis. I would be very grateful if you’d have a look.
Iceland: more photos
My friend Mark, who came with me to Iceland, has posted his photos of the trip on his website, along with a day-by-day account of the tour. Please go and have a look.
VogueArt
The art agency VogueArt have featured some of my work at their most recent exhibitions in and around Hertfordshire. The next exhibition is at Aldenham Golf & Country Club on 1st May from 11am until 4pm. I will try to be there myself for some or all of that time, so if you can make it, it would be good to see you there.
The British Wildlife Photography awards
Following on from my earlier posts about caution being exercised when entering photographic competitions, I have no compunction whatsoever about linking to the 2010 British Wildlife Photography Awards. There are ten categories to choose from, the top prize is an eye-catching £5,000, and their terms and conditions do not unfairly take advantage of the photographer (my emphasis):
By entering the competition, you grant BWPA and its sponsors and supporters a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the images for any purpose directly connected with the competition.
The closing date is 4th June, so that gives you plenty of time to get your stuff together.
