Here’s what you get if you take the essence of Iceland Airwaves 2011 and distil it into a 3 and a half minute video. Thanks to Icelandic Glacial Water for bringing this to my attention.
Another video for you – this time of a spider spinning a web outside our front door. It took me a while to realise what he was up to, but once I did I fetched my trusty 5D Mark 2 and 105mm Sigma macro lens and started filming. The middle section has been speeded up, and the whole process took about 1/2 hour, followed by a couple of hours editing in Final Cut Express.

During my recent trip to Iceland I shot some HD video footage, with vague ideas of making a documentary. However it turned out I didn’t get quite enough footage for anything substantial, so I took what I could get (including an interview with Mark) and put together this montage of the three states of water as they are found in Iceland; the icebergs at Jökulsárlón, the water everywhere, and the steam at the hot springs of KrýsuvÃk.
The Music is by Rökkuró; and you can listen to the whole album (and buy it) at Gogoyoko.
