Cornwall

To recover from my visit to the Lake District, but primarily in order to have a holiday with my family, we all travelled down to Cornwall for a week to stay near the town of Mullion on the Lizard peninsula. The English Lakes

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

The Lake District in Cumbria is a region of mountains, valleys and lakes in the north west of England, and is one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Mark Casey and I visited the region for a week with our cameras to capture the height of autumn in all its glory, after first scaling the second highest mountain in England, Helvellyn, via the famous, treacherous Striding Edge.

Thames Barrier

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

It’s been a while since I got my camera out, so I decided to take it in to work with me today. I was initially planning to visit Borough Market again, but I decided instead to head down to the Thames Barrier in East London after work. I got there just before sunset, so all these pictures were taken at ISO 1600 or 3200, as I was travelling light and didn’t have my tripod with me.
