The English Lakes

The Lake Dis­trict in Cum­bria is a region of moun­tains, val­leys and lakes in the north west of Eng­land, and is one of the most beau­ti­ful spots in the coun­try. Mark Casey and I vis­ited the region for a week with our cam­eras to cap­ture the height of autumn in all its glory, after first scal­ing the second highest moun­tain in Eng­land, Helvellyn, via the fam­ous, treach­er­ous Strid­ing Edge.

I have just returned from a tour of North­ern Ire­land as part of the occa­sional, ongo­ing By Cam­era series of gal­ler­ies, where I tour a loc­a­tion with some friends with the sole pur­pose of tak­ing pho­to­graphs. Until the oth­ers have picked their pho­tos for the min­is­ite, I have put up a selec­tion of mine.
