Peak
Hvannadalshnjúkur — not easy to pronounce — is the highest peak in Iceland, on the edge of the little more pronounceable Öræfajökull glacier, which in turn is a tongue of Europe’s largest ice cap, Vatnajökull (the Water Glacier). Here it is viewed from Höfn, a small town in the south east of Iceland.
