Peak

HvanÂnadalshÂnjúkur — not easy to proÂnounce — is the highest peak in IceÂland, on the edge of the little more proÂnounceÂable ÖræfaÂjökull glaÂcier, which in turn is a tongue of Europe’s largest ice cap, VatÂnaÂjökull (the Water GlaÂcier). Here it is viewed from Höfn, a small town in the south east of Iceland.
